I read one review after watching it and felt pretty much the same about what the reviewer that barry's return felt unearned and just like flash point should have been over several episodes not just one. Other than that I felt the episode was good.

Considering his supposed to be star of the show he was hardly gonna be gone for several Eps. As for him coming back it’s explained in the Ep if actually watch it properly.

i was watching it with my son and we both thought it was all to easy and rushed. he's a crazy blithering idiot one minute and completely ok the next, it didn't make sense. the episode was still good but that's my opinion, for what it's worth.

also, a weird dude at the end. i'm sure you comic book guys know more about him but i'm going to remain ignorant for now.

There reason why he shaped out it is because Iris has always been lighting rod hence why he was get out the speed force last season they took the idea Barry always finding his way back from the Wally West Flash in the comics. As to why it seems rushed is part of a bigger plan and story but Thad would be spoiler.

I did watch it properly has they did something that iris didn't want them to do and the next thing was a naked crazy barry.

These is a reason and it’s gonna unfold in the rest of the season and why he wasn’t all and symbols he was writing if you through entire Ep including the end credits there tiny clues as how it ties to The Flash with the symbols.

they could have done it by showing in the speed force arguing with it to be released to help the rest of the team. teen wolf had stiles disappear for the first half season 6 but they kept him in the show by having making appearances in each ep has the actor was doing the maze runner films then he was off to the fbi for the final part of season and he was one of 2 main stars of the show the other being McCall so it can be done.

Am gonna say the one last time there’s a reason why he was bought out of it and with it spoiling its part of bigger plan as why his out of there which folds in season 4, I already why when it’s all unfolds you see it was no coincidence why his out and it’s not because of Team Flash.

In the Speed Force time has no meaning, when Barry was taken into the speed force he was living his life from start to finish over and over again so to team flash it’s been six months but to Barry it could have thousands upon thousands of years hence why he was acting crazy and without spoiling anything he was talking about possible future events that haven’t yet. That’s why future Barry aka savitar became even more insane then he already ess because he was locked up in the speed force so from his point of view his been in many many years driving him even more nuts.
When you watch the post credit scene you find out way The Flash was out of the speed force so quickly. When it airs on Sky i’ll happily explain it.
