* Michael Bradley of the USA set a new high in this tournament for distance covered - 12,730m in the match against Ghana.

* Cristiano Ronaldo touched the ball every 128 seconds against Germany - only 5 outfield players in the match touched the ball less.

* Neymar is now the tournament's most prolific dribbler with 9, although he's played 2 matches. Messi has 7 dribbles from 1 match.

* Vasily Berezutskiy passed to Sergey Ignashevich 22 times against Korea. Only De Rossi to Pirlo with 27 is a greater passing combination.

* Algeria set a tournament low with only 3 goal attempts against Belgium. The only 1 on target was a penalty which they scored from.

* Fred touched the ball only 22 times against Mexico, still higher than the 20 touches he managed in the previous match against Croatia.
