If UEFA split from FIFA then the sponsors will follow and FIFA would have to change. Why would the sponsors follow? Well look at all the fuss about the time World Cup games kick off. It's all geared for the European TV audiences because that's where the Big TV money comes from and why do European TV rights go for so much money? Well that because of the advertising money they get and the sponsors know millions of viewers will see the stadia advertising hoardings. Changing Blatter would only be a start but the man has no morals. For gods sake even Banking CEO's resigned when LIBOR scandals etc became known as they took responsibility as head of the organisations.

The U.S. Court process will drag on for years whatever happens with Blatter and with all the money already spent on the next 2 World Cups they won't be moved.

Sepptic has refused to resign. There's a surprise. He says its too late for that. Not quite sure how it can be too late for his resignation. Despite condemnation from his former understudy, Platini as well as David Cameron and David Gill its still more than likely that Blatter will gain his re-election by a comfortable margin. He has too many powerful friends in wrong places not to win. The Asian and Far East connections have too many fingers in the pie to see it all crumble away.

When will the FBI move on those in Asia? I would expect it to be maybe about 2 years or more before they could do so

And for all those hoping that the sponsors will come to the rescue, take a close look at VISA's actual press release (bearing in mind that this is far and away the most aggressive one)...

Once again ... this is the most aggressive one! The statements from Coke, Adidas, Budweiser, Hyundai and MacDonalds were all much weaker than that. The idea that sponsors are 'putting pressure on FIFA' is laughable.

I agree with Secret Agent that the sponsors would follow UEFA and the USA if they split. But unless that happens -- which, let's face it, is a long shot -- they will go on being complicit in the rot.

It depends on how many Votes this Prince Ali if he says he has about 60 votes from outside europe then means. whats going to happen is that the larger countrys in each federation will prob vote against blatter Apart from russia of course while the smaller ones will be bribed with this £300,000 grand bonus payment thats suddenly arrived for all countrys

That said dont think if the big teams were to pull out we wouldnt do well i can see a lot more England Friendlys with the big teams during the year and we would still have the european championships and I can still see the big south american sides coming over to play friendlies

Blatter has so much stuff on delegates, they are in his pocket, that's where his power is. Corrupt putting pressure on the corrupt. Plenty of patter from Blatter this morning, self regulating, and fixing any wrong doing internally. Almost felt sorry for Blatter, just a good job i know he is a crook.
