Things you wish you hadn't posted online
I couldn't see a thread that would do justice to this subject, so I thought I'd start one. Things you wish you hadn't posted online.

This is from Facebook.

On the run from the police.

Chris Crego of Lockport, New York was arrested for assault in 2009 after starting a bar fight. When he didn't show up for the court hearing, police issued a warrant for his arrest - turns out, though, he'd already fled the state.

It didn't matter. A quick Google search was all it took. The police easily found Crego's Facebook account, where Crego had updated his current location to Terre Haute, Indiana, and even stated his new place of employment.

This was in the London Evening Standard last night.

Five police officers have been dismissed after secretly photographing members of the public and posting the pictures online with "disrespectful and in one case predatory" comments.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Fiona Taylor, of the Directorate of Professionalism, said: "This was disgraceful behaviour from a small group of officers and it is only right and just that they have been dismissed from the Met".

A Scotland Yard misconduct board, held in private, was told that while on duty the officers shared covertly-taken images of members of the public and colleagues on social media.

"They shared the pictures with accompanying comments which the board found were disrespectful and in one case predatory," said a Scotland Yard spokeswoman.

Moron terrorist takes a selfie in front of ISIS headquarters - Air Force bombs it 22 hours later.

A terrorist from ISIS recently took a selfie of himself and posted it online. Shortly thereafter, U.S. Intelligence, which heavily monitors social media accounts from ISIS members and supporters, managed to pinpoint an ISIS headquarters building in Syria by using the selfie photo as a reference point. About 22 hours after the moron posted his selfie, the U.S. Air Force bombed the building to the ground.

I nominate those people who posted pictures on twitter on them going nude on a Malaysian mountain top. What a bad idea that was.

This is from Yahoo News.

"A couple were busted for robbing a bank after posting photos of their loot to Facebook, according to a police report.
John Mogan, 28, and his girlfriend Ashley Duboe, 24, were charged with robbery for the heist at the Savings Bank in Ashville, Ohio on August 24.
Police say that 4 days after the robbery, the couple posed together on Facebook with cash in their hands. On August 31, Mogan also posted images of him posing with a wad of cash in his mouth.
Mogan and Duboe are behind bars after cops found their photos."

I wish I hadn't posted this, but oh well.

Last night I had a dream that I lived with Dionne Daniels and Clare Richards. I was in the kitchen snacking on something, when Dionne came in and asked me if I'd wash her face and back when she took a bath with Clare. I of course said sure, no problem, and she went off to fill the tub. In my mind I was excited as hell, but I waited ten minutes as the water ran, and then I heard Clare enter the bathroom to join Dionne. Dionne called me, and as I began to walk to the bathroom, I entered a different dream, basically a boring one of me eating an ice cream cone while walking in a crowded park, and seeing a bird be born. W T F

So, no hot and sexy bath time Sad

I noticed this on the BBC.

"A Florida man who killed his wife and posted a photo of the body on Facebook has been found guilty of murder. Derek Medina admitted taking the picture on his phone and uploading it on to the social media site." bladewave

I just noticed this in the Daily Telegraph. A classic.

"Rehman and Khan planned to target a major shopping centre or the Tube network in an Isil-inspired attack. They had already stockpiled chemicals to make the bombs and were just days away from carrying out their plans.

They were foiled after Rehman opened a Twitter account under the name Silent Bomber and asked followers what targets he should bomb. The tweets led to counter terrorism officers engaging with him to draw out his plans."
