RIP - Sir Peter O'Sullevan

95 year old former BBC horse racing commentator Sir Peter O'Sullevan has died in hospital after suffering a stroke yesterday.

even in his 90's he used to drive himself over to Paris each year for the Arc...RIP

Sad news. He was the voice of racing.

He truly was the voice of horse racing.
I remember so much of my Saturday afternoons as a kid hearing his voice on so many commentaries.
In many ways he had the perfect commentating voice for his sport. A sad loss.

Thought he was 97. A mighty achievement anyway, one of the ATG commentators, no question, a boon to mimics everywhere. RIP
