Ministers are only interested in what's going into their back pockets and pension funds. If we actually had people that live in the real world... Things would improve massively.

I wouldn't be surprised if we leave next year, are in transition for about a decade, which will be extremely damaging, then go through another few years of economic hardship and end up back in as members of the single currency and Schengen

I'm beginning to think another lords defeat on Brexit probably could kill the process stone dead

I would agree, but also think that we will be in limbo for a fair bit of time and I think with the recent defeats in Lords, and Commons in he past week that a no deal scenario is looking the more likely exit strategy..
I'm very disappointed that the result of the referendum is not going to bring about the ideal exit strategy for the country as a whole as I'd hoped. The government and the Lords collectively have screwed up the process between them to a point where I can hardly trust either to finally agree on something and I doubt any public vote on the final deal (if there was one) would more likely reject it.
It wouldn't surprise me that many people are probably now thinking the referendum vote was a complete waste of time in the first place with the way this Government has handled things.

^ The Brexiteers over promised during the referendum and despite being at the centre of exit negotiations are finding it impossible to deliver what they promised. They repeatedly say that the will of the people must be followed but don’t accept that they should trust the people to vote on the terms if the exit deal. On their logic we should never have general elections because the people should not be allowed to change their minds. In essence they are saying that when the people voted for Brexit they did so in the abscence of facts but when negotiations are complete and the facts are clearer we should not be trusted to vote again.
