Certainly doesn't look a very attacking team to be honest!! He thinks Sterling is better up front than bloody Vardy? how consistent was Sterling compared to Vardy last season? give me a break, Sterling won't get anything against Russia!! I don't know why anyone would be surprised by the England team. It was fairly predictable that this would be the lineup.

It's a very attacking England team as Eric Dier is the only midfielder who is defensive minded. The full backs are both offensive too, and Lallana and Sterling will give width up front, so Hodgson is really going for it.

I'm happy with the chosen England team. The 4-3-3 is the right formation I think for the players England have available.
