You know, the sad thing about this is Trump actually had a shot at pulling this off. All they had to do was play it cool. But no. They start bragging about 'bringing N Korea to heel' because of Trump's 'tough talking'. How exactly did they think that would go down with Kim? I suppose the answer is - nobody in the Whitehouse is thinking at all Rolleyes
And they should have kept Bolton away from any cameras until... , no actually just forever. The N Koreans hate his guts anyway from way back, when he was part of the Bush administration.

Which brings us to Trumps latest howler. He's offered to guarantee Kim will be able to stay in power after de-nuclearisation.

(1) Trump's word is worthless, and Kim knows it.
(2) It's going to look like Trump's giving Kim permission to stay on. Kim will never be able to live that.
and (3) Trump's starting to sound desperate because he can feel his Nobel Peace prize slipping away (in his own head)
