dont be to honest either i mean dont say i can manage sometimes always make it sound like your worst day its a case where being honest can come back to bite you in the arse im not saying lie about something you dont have just make sure you tell them what you have and how it effects you on your worse day

One of the ESA people said, 'why can't you work at home? you can copy things', 'your not helping yourself'

Funny enough, she never said it again.

That said, I'll always be honest over thigns like this, I don't have to lie, besides, at the DLA appeal thing, it was two doctors and a lawyer interviewing me; they'd see through a lie in one.

It's beyound me how anybody can get these benefits by fraud.

May be they target selected few.

Wasnt sayiny lie say dont be a brave little soldier because it might cost you in the long run.

I think a lot depends on who your "adviser" is. Some are sympathetic and understanding, and some bloody well aren't.

I'm just saying I tell the truth over these things, I do in general, there's no point to tellinglies, exaggerating the truth, peple always trip up like that., Brave little soldier doesn't come into it, it is what it is.

That is true.

I had a terrible one, then there was a locum come in in 2007 and he mentioned the low rate mobility, but at the time I was too ill to be bothered with it.

2012, I went to this CAB woman (fit as well) who spoke to me and her ears pricked up and brought this mobility up.

If I applied in 2007 I could have got back dated money right to when I got ill in 1999, that first 'adviser' literally lost me thousands.

RE: DLA into PIP
So I goes to the CAB over this with form in hand.

To get low rate mobility for agoraphobia going to places you are unfamiliar with will cause anxiety and panic is or WAS the criteria.

Aparently they have closed this loophole.

It now says, that yes, you can have the anxiety and panic, this is irrelavant, to get the mobility you need someone there that can read bus time tables.

So lets get this right, basically if you can READ, you will not be eligable for low rate mobility, even if you are cowering in a heap panicing.

So this means that if you are in a wheel chair and can travel all the way to brazil to be in the olympics, or, if you are in full very well paid employment and have a blue badge you use before you go on a hike, you can get high rate mobility if they problem is something physical. If you have a mind crippling emotinal illness that means you can't, and haven't, traveled more than 20 mins from your home in 20 years, then you can't have low rate because you can read a time table. bladewave

RE: DLA into PIP
interesting peice on bbc victoria derbyshire program about DLA into PIP tribunals. said that 2/3 of people who have lost money win it back on tribunial. and costs for having these tribunals is now up to 1£ million pound a week and the number of tribunials has rose signifcantly in the last year as PIP is coming on stream. so much for cutting benefits all its doing is giving the most vunrable in society a kicking for not much gain

RE: DLA into PIP
This part of the process is ALWAYS about taking money off you.

In all the reviews that have taken place I have had since 2004, of which there has been many (every 1 to 2 years, even if it is indefinate) every single one has gone to a tribunal and has been won in around 15 mins of sitting down.

This time around, I sent may form back in with the medical note stating quite clearly that my doctor STRONGLY advises then I have an assesment at home, got the date and time today, nearly 30 miles away. Rolleyes

I will wait for the tribunal.

It does also mean though that a 1/3 loose their money, which is a lot.
