Ep 3 was still OK. I think the mixed plotlines helps because if you are bored, then you know in a few minutes you'll be bored about something else Wink

The more I think about MisFits, the more I wonder if that show was a take-off of this (as well as X-Men).

i have seen the season finale and it was good. it would be great if AOS did interact with the Inhumans.

RE: Marvel's The Inhumans
Took a little longer with ep 4. I see the soothsayer is already surplus to requirements.

Fun if cheesy to have 5 different plot strands for the 5 Inhumans separated on Earth, but a nice ending to have the main two reunited. I keep expecting them to find some excuse for Medusa's hair to regrow. As it is, it just seems like a naff excuse not to have to do the SFX for it every few minutes.

But hey, halfway finished now Tongue

That's episode 5 then, as the good guys start to coalesce again. It's telling that the most emotive story concerns Karnak (I think) whereas most of his family still seem the same arrogant bunch they were, even with good cause (revenge). But I can see why the show might not have been felt good enough to do more of.

As luck would have it, I got through episode 6 as well now. Without pre-empting what might still be to come, it seems anti-climactic that the Inhumans get together relatively easily, and their human friends get slowly shut out easily too. Good unintended laughs when Karnak believes himself to be less than he used to be, but still takes out pretty much all the opposition.

RE: Marvel's The Inhumans
I seem to be alone watching this now... which is a shame as it's not that bad, really. I liked the twists that Black Bolt had in fact got a plan up his sleeve, although it's dubious whether that explains his actions over previous weeks. The waffle about Terra-Genesis was tedious at the start of the series, and it hasn't got better. At least some lip service was paid to the humans they met on Earth, and wanting to go back sometime (if they're recommissioned presumably).

There is at least some drama in the premise of reviving Gorgon (where was the argument about not granting each other immortality here?), compared with Maximus wanting to give himself lots of powers (as done in MisFits S3' climax, with Iwan Rheon again!) The concluding confrontation was perhaps diminished by a conscious homage to Anthony Ainley as the Master from Doctor Who (Maximus even has the same facial hair arrangement).

Anyway best of all there's several days before the last episode, so I might catch up with Supergirl (ho ho).

RE: Marvel's The Inhumans
I did actually finish this the other night... somewhat anti-climactic, really, especially if there isn't another series. The prospect of an X-Men rip-off running through the same dreary few plots as X-Men doesn't perhaps appeal. Whilst the premise of "hey, let's all recognise our differences and learn together" is fine, shows like this lard it on so much that it's enough to drive people to extremism.
