Twenty20 Tri Series

England's opening match of the Twenty20 Tri Series has seen a return to England batting collapses, as the score went from 94/2 to 137/9. The innings eventually finished on 155/9 with a mere 52 runs scored from the last 9 overs.

Australia went on to win the match in 18.3 overs. They scored 161-5.

Australia have beaten England with the match winning innings being an unbeaten century by Maxwell, although in a moment of controversy he was reprieved by television replays after he appeared to have been caught on the boundary when 53 were still required.

An early start tomorrow morning as England take on New Zealand from Wellington.
But don't expect a high scoring game as the drop in pitch looks terrible

England need a better performance after 2 defeats to Australia, although New Zealand lost to Australia also.

NZ blaze 77-0 in the first 6-over powerplay compared to England's 41-2! Spinners Rashid and Dawson pull it back and we eventually win by 2 runs.
