It was just Hetfield on his own during the Load era,that song is as country as it got so you're safe from now on

A classic from Hank Snow.

Sissy Spacek did a great version of this as Loretta Lynn in the film Coal Miner's Daughter(1980)but this 1961 effort from Jerry Wallace is sublime.
