England V India Series 2018

England have a shockingly bad bowling attack so i don't suppose a few extra runs would have made much difference. Jordan, Ball, Willey and Rashid are not just good enough.

Strange that Stokes only bowled 2 overs after passing a fitness test on the morning of the match. He only conceded 11 runs off his two overs, positively mean compared to the other seamers, and apparently there were no fitness problems, so why didn't he bowl again when all the other seamers were taking some hammer towards the end.

Having said that, India are a formidable batting squad at T20, mainly due to the IPL over the last few years. If you think about it, 8 teams in the IPL have to field a minimum of 7 Indian players each game which gives you a squad of at least 56 Indian players who are honing their skills in the toughest T20 tournament against the best players from around the world. No wonder their top 7 in the Indian side are so good, and make our bowling look a bit toothless! Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni not even needed!

England won the toss and surprisingly decided to bat first

England managed to score 322 in their 50 overs. Mostly thanks to a decent partnership between Root and Willey in the last 10 overs

India are a good side in all formats.
They're going to be hard to beat!
I'm looking forward to the test series and going to see them at Chelmsford next week.
Hopefully Essex will put out a fairly strong side.

India aren't putting up much of a fight. They are just battling for practice
