Setanta appears doomed as subscription services withdrawn

your right there, anyway its gonna all pay as you one where your club will have there own channel and you just pay for the games you wanna see, i know already some clubs have there own channels

i have just checked again which day of the month they take my subscription money.....still got 10 days yet

might be worth it to cancel your self.....some of these company's do still take the money out of your accounts even after going belly up

I've heard of quite a few people cancelling their subs and still getting billed. I've never subscribed but all the stories I've heard about Setanta have been negative. From the few games I've seen in the pub their coverage isn't even on a par with ITV and that's saying something.

Bloody hell that bad then, never seen a game on setanta, couldn't be assed to pay another load to another set of games.

Yeah a friend of mine tried to cancel and they told him he had to give 90 days notice!!!!!!!! He also said pic quality was crap and thier admin even worse,seems no one can compete with SKY. Pity beause would be good if Sky had some real competition,keep them on thier toes.

I think its going to have big impact in Scotland,maybe several clubs will be in financial trouble if setanta go under,

The SPL is in exactly the position the Championship was in with ITV Digital. They've taken out loans, bought players etc on the understanding of getting Setanta's money. There is a real danger of a club going under this summer if Setanta goes tits up.

Unless someone else buys up there contract

If someone does buy up the contract,with present financial conditions,it will be for a lot less money for the clubs
