The Book of Boba Fett

It's generally very good in its pastiche/homage in Star Wars trappings; though as some have already said occasionally over fanwanky. There is also the slight problem in that the writers don't seem too interested in the main character. He's often been sidelined or outshone by the supporting characters.

Can't help thinking it might have been better to have had these Mando/Fett and the upcoming Obi Wan efforts as a sort of part anthology Star Wars show. With any of the three taking the main spotlight in any given episode as needed.

^^^ they can’t because the shows weren’t being filmed at the same time and the Obi Wan series was delayed a couple times. Also like with like the Marvel shows they wanna have content when one show ends and other starts.

^ Yes I get its a marketing and logistics thing. But creatively having two whole episodes away from your title character in such a short run is just weird.

I was never 100% sure if Book of Boba Fett was meant to be a separate show altogether or if it was always being treated as, effectively, Season 3 of the Mandalorian.

To be fair, it’s hard to build a strong narrative around these mandalorian characters — their whole appeal is their inscrutability and mystique. I think they work better as secondary characters in a bigger story.

They need to start creating a bigger universe in this timeframe, or these shows are gonna run out of steam real fast.

Season 1 finale poster

With the Finale Ep 7 Chapter 7 keep a eye out for the post credit scene.

For me this was like the finales of most Disney/Marvel series, a satisfactory boombastic set piece wrap up not quite matching the subtleties of the road getting there. The interaction between Boba and his adversary in their duel was the best bit. Who was and is Boba Fett now? This would've been better expanded in the time Boba was sidelined.

Loved the Rancor tearing it up though lol

Very enjoyable & action packed season finale to a very good series overall. Bring on series/season 2 & interesting to see how s3 of The Mandalorian ties into this
