RE: German Masters
Yes, poor Maguire lost 5-3 to Joe O'Connor. He is out of the Welsh Open as well so he won't be able to earn the ranking points he needs to play in the Player's Championship now.

But I'm surprised you picked up on Maguire and not Tubs. Tubs 5-3 lost to Xu Si and he's sitting at no.21 on the 1YRL so he might have to get to the final of the Welsh Open to play in the Players Championship. He will probably still be able to play in the Saudi tournament though as his victory in the Tour Championship final last year will virtually guarantee he will be in the top 8 on the 2 year ranking list.

Un-Nooh has had some poor results recently, but a good day for him today as he ran out a 5-4 winner against Zhang Anda

World champion Luca Brecel is out too.
Beaten 5-2 by Ishpreet Singh Chadha after leading 2-1. The Belgian is struggling.

Mark Selby is also out after losing 5-1 to Marco Fu.

I was looking at what results were up on the Red Button service, so it's lucky I saw anything bladewave

Big Bob Milkins beat someone for once.

Judd Trump was a winner too, 5-3 against Matthew Stevens. But the old stager didn't make it easy for Judd, he used all his experience to make it difficult.

Barry Hawkins turned over by Mark Davis too Smile

It's been refreshing to see so many of the "also rans" doing well this week, given they were missing from the Masters and WGP. Even Neil Robertson managed to beat somebody Wink

RE: German Masters
Judd not at his best, but he managed to beat an out of sorts Matthew Selt 5-2 to set up an exciting looking clash with Thepchaiya Un-Nooh in the last 16.

John Higgins and Mark Allen also amongst today's winners.

The Ishpreet Chadha run came to an end, but he did better in 1 tournament than some do all season.

Neil Robertson won again.

Ali bloody Carter through to the quarter-finals, having had a fairly easy draw so far.
