Loving John Barnes this morning when they were saying that fans had won he was like why have ticket prices dropped or BT or SKY not screwing you to watch the games

Woodward of Man Utd was on the UEFA Strategy Cttee which agreed the new structure for the Champions League last week. He did not raise ant objections and agreed the proposals. He resigned from the Cttee after the ESL news broke.

UEFA President Alexander Ceferin called Juventus Chairman Andrea Agnelli a snake over their participation in the ESL. The 2 men were friends and Ceferin is actually Godfather to one of Agnellis' children. It seems they spoke multiple times last week and when Ceferin asked about rumours of the ESL Agnelli point blank denied them.

I wonder if the clubs involved had signed any contacts. As JP Morgan were involved it could cost them a few quid to back out.

I suspect JP Morgan might have been having second thoughts themselves. Their big loans have to go through a committee which looks at reputational risk for JPM. Banks don’t like being in the news for the wrong reasons and they have a big presence here and in Europe so the stakes would have been high.

Probably way higher thsn we probably envisaged, jeez could the consequences of this move even bankrupt tha game - even though it haxs collapsed?

The contracts were 167 pages long and did indeed contain penalty clauses for backing out. There was also a league joining fee of €10m.

People might not agree with me here but i think the Scottish teams Celtic and Rangers,Irish teams and Welsh teams without Swansea and Cardiff would be the only teams to benefit from this Super League because they need popularity and money and don't give the money to all them greedy billionaire owners of the big six.

Don't get me wrong i am not trying to say destroy them leagues they are underestimated leagues in there own right , them teams just need a way to try and get noticed.

and im guessing the owners prob use JP morgan already for there banking wouldnt want to piss off there already clients and its prob saved them a fortune
