Starts next week, shown on ITV4. I read they weren't doing seeded entry, and got Selby v Murphy in the 1st round (and the elsewhere mentioned Allen v Evans grudge match).

Making it a Best of 5 is probably a good thing. Reanne did well from what I saw (the 4th frame, basically). Logically, she could prove a danger to players not as good as Allen.

Allen went down 3-2 to Hossein Vafaei.

Stephen Maguire won a decider in a pet, and Anthony Hamilton also won a decider.

Didn't realise Pinches beat Jack Lisowski! Hope he sees off Xu Si today too.
