Torchwood

I enjoyed it for the most part, them showing it over 5 days worked for me, I was a little gutted they killed Ianto though...who's gonna make the coffees now! lol.

i enjoyed it too and liked the way it ended. means they can either make no more torchwood which would be stupid or bring back the next series

only leaves though jack and gwen from the 1st series now

I was a bit cynical about the 5-ep structure at first, and whether it could hold my attention; it did, and in the end I thought it worked very well. But now I'm expecting the next episode

Really liked it overall...and one of the good things about Torchwood is that it's, conceptually, something that can be revisited at any time - outside of the government and neverending and all that. It's been going since Victorian times, remember

I wonder if there's scope for a couple of one-off specials or something that go back to earlier Torchwood times. John Barrowman is one of the two surviving cast members, and Jack's been in Torchwood for aeons (they keep referring back to his past cases). Why not explore that a little if they're not sure where to go next?

I thought I read somewhere that Martha was meant to be in this series, but Freema couldn't do it because she was filming that 'Law and Order: London' thingy. Perhaps they may bring her back in if/when there's another series.

I like the idea of them doing some historical Torchwood episodes, I'd enjoy seeing some of Jack's history on earth and how Torchwood became what it was...or alternatively, they could explore the whole 'Face of Boe' aspect of Jack, that always interested me.

Also, according to the rumours about Dr Who, some of his companions will be returning for those specials, so Jack being out in space might be part of that plan...I hope we also get to see the Dr's daughter again...I liked her .

Me too also would be great if Billie Piper could appear again with the mortal Doctor in the parallel universe............as part of Jacks travels

Think the "Face of Boe" would make a terrific story. I always wondered how that came about.

I'd half-forgotten about the Face of Boe! Definite potential there And also with the Doctor's daughter - I'm surprised she hasn't been back already, actually - it seemed like they were setting her up for a return when she flew off into space the last time we saw her.
Jack and the Doctor both have daughters now? :surprised: Who would have predicted that?

Do we have to wait for Christmas for the next Doctor Who? I'm feeling a little short-changed by the ''hit the audience hard and run" strategy of Torchwood. I'd like more storylines

well if the rumours are true, we see Rose & the mortal Doctor get married in the specials.

Just a little update: Not exactly sure how reliable this source is, but another series seems to be on the cards
