Another great tour from Froome and he has done it with out a single stage win. Sky have certainly shown this year the strength of their team whilst others have crumbled in their wake.

RE: Tour de France
interesting though would he still have won if Richie porte hadnt had that crash and was out of the race

the Sprint finish on the champs elysee will be pretty shit as most of the main big boy sprinters are out of the race

think Sky should try and get the Yates brothers 2nd year in a row that one has won the White Jersey for best young rider both have the potential to be GC contenders

I thought this was his fourth win?

I hit a length more consistently than even Glenn McGrath used to.

Congrats to Chris Froome on winning fourth Tour title so has to be contender for BBC Sports Personality of the Year award he can't be that far behind Eddie Mercx's title record and def has the right to be hailed as one of the Tour's greats. Just hope Mark Cavendish will be back next year and really hope that we haven't seen the last of him

I agree Froomie should get SPOTY can't really see any other contenders at the moment - going off piste here England Women's Cricket team for Team of the Year (Unless the Women's Footie team win Euro 17)

Cav will be back if he is fit no doubt

Hmmmm I can see tom daly getting in SPOTY cos winning world championship. Johanna Konta will definately be there and any other who has a sucessful game between now and december because of the backlash last year for lack of women again

5 months to go so could be a lot more contenders - Anthony Joshua maybe but Froomie probably has the best credentials - so saying that he probably wont win!
