The scene inside the Bataclan, where a concert was taking place has been described as "carnage". Current figures (from Euronews) are 49 dead with the Police saying they expect that to rise " steeply ".

Would not surprise me if some of the attackers turned out to be so called 'refugees' from Calais camp that were part of a possible terrorist sleeper cell. and with more than 200 injured an 80 in critical condition we probably would be seeing that death toll rise further closing borders but surely it would be better also to shut all travel networks in and out of France and Paris with Eurostar still planning to run services today I would have thought it would be better to suspend services if more attacks were possibly likely. Even if the attackers are dead, we cannot be sure if more are likely to attack again and if anything Disney Paris must now be looking at having armed security at their location or maybe shutting down their operation for a short time.

Some are calling this France's 9/11, does seem apt given the absolute horror those in Paris, especially those at the Batalcan concert hall faced last night.

My thoughts go out to the people of paris this morning, unthinkable scenes in which a tragic amount of innocent lives have been lost.
