Bumping a rather old thread, but today saw the Govt outline a timetable that will see the checks on porn sites come in to force in April next year (2018).

Seems awfully rushed, and as babelover48 said, any sites in the UK will be moving abroad to escape this.

My main worry, is that eventually we will have our own Great Firewall, as sites that are not based in the UK and as such don't need to comply with the legislation will be blocked by the ISPs. In fact the Digital Economy Act explicitly states that the regulator (BBFC) could be granted the power to enforce such blocks.

Dark days are approaching.

This has nothing to do with Brexit. Brexit hasn't happened yet and it will never happen. The reason? The globalist, cultural-Marxist elites who are the establishment never wanted Brexit and they've gone into manic overdrive to prevent Brexit from occurring.

The EU Human Rights law will still be active in the UK even after so-called Brexit.
