I'm afraid it is.
https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asylum_seeker
Quote:An asylum seeker is a person who was forced to flee from their country, due to democide genocide or mass murder. (endangered) and routed to nearby countries to seek refuge but, is not accepted yet as a refugee. Refugees and asylum seekers are different.
http://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/policy_...out_asylum
[quote]“A person who owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality and is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country; or who, not having a nationality and being outside the country of his former habitual residence as a result of such events, is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to return to it.”[/qoute]
So if they are NOT fleeing for their lives or personal persecution (which normally means a fear of death) then they are not asylum seekers.
War zones is different again' children being sent form London in WW2 are not said to be fleeing persecution but going to more safe parts of the country.
Who's fleeing from REAL persecution in Syria, as opposed to fleeing a war zone cannot really be known. But if they are, you'd think the next place of safety were they can be looked after and feed would suffice untill the problems in their own land is sorted out and so they can return. This is not what is happeneing, as soon as Merkel had a bizzare open doors policy in they came and from thence to other places with a sole intention of finding a PERMINANT place to live else where.
I don't even know what the problem is, it's already be shown that people are getting into the west for alterior motives using aslyum seeking as a smoke screen.
You still need money for pay as you go as well, which is very expensive; you think money would be prioritized more wisely.
