UFC 229 Khabib V Conor McGregor

honestly when i saw mcgreggor in a web interview he looked haggered. like a drunk trying to get fit.
i think the last 2 years of living the life of a 100 millionaire has made him soft... well not soft just not as committed.

i guess he thought khabibs 26 and 0 record was padded or he didnt think much of the guys khabib fought on the way to connor.
but what ever the reason mcgreggor wasnt prepared and wasnt scared... thats not great when your fighting.

Do we know what sanctions/fines or suspensions are being imposed yet?

not yet, its likely the gaming commission and the fight commission with have to get together and decide what punishment is fitting.
i know they witheld khabibs purse while paying mcreggor.

you need to be relatively hungry for the fight game. he didn't have the motivation that khalib obviously had.

will he ever get it back, i doubt it. but i've learned never to bet against mcgregor.

At the moment Khabib's fight-purse has still been witheld but me reckons that Khabib's punishment will ultimately come down to if Khabib gets stripped of his Green-Card or not,if the powers that-be strip him of that he's out on his ass out of the country & technically would only be able to fight outside of US shores.I know that the whole UFC franchise likes spreading their wares across the globe with various shows but the vast bulk of the main UFC PPV's are held in the US anyway & so how would the circle of Khabib defending his belt be squared?.Michael Bisping in the pre-fight show mentioned the hurdles a fighter outside the US has to go through to obtain a Green-Card & any blemish (a criminal record) that flags up is a no-no.

Has McGregor's appetite & desire to fight again been dwindled as he has made his wealth (largely through the Mayweather farce) as it showed in the Khabib fight but no fighter whether rich or poor likes to retire on a defeat (a bad defeat at that) & if McGregor can get that hunger to fight back I can certainly see him fighting in another grudge-match with Tony Ferguson (who were scheduled to fight previously & Ferguson continued to trash-talk after the Pettis fight) maybe for the vacated title.

Rumours are circulating that 'The Black Beast' Derrick Lewis is getting a title shot against Daniel Cormier for the Heavyweight strap as early as November or December which puts into doubt the anticipated match-up between Cormier & Brock Lesnar.

I would imagine the arrest of the Khabib team would have a bearing on the Green Card situation but I am sure McGregor's team wouldn't also be disciplined for reacting to the Khabib team taunts
am I right in thinking that any decision made by the LV Commission will influence the UFC's decision?

I think Ferguson v McGregor would make a perfect match up for a vacant title fight.

I get the feeling the Lesnar Cormier will probably take place in New Year if the rumours of Lewis facing him are true But think the UFC should demand Lesnar has a warm up fight before any fight with Cormier can take place and has he actually served his drugs suspension?
