ULEZ-Ultra Low Emission Zone

This has been introduced today to try and cut the amount of pollution from older cars and diesel from lorries etc driving in London. The zone is expanding in 2021 to the North and South Circular Roads which was going to be a problem for us as we live near to the North one. However, if you go on the TfL website http://www.tfl.gov.uk and look for ULEZ you can put in your numberplate or postal code and find out if you are elligible to pay it or not. So far it has been introduced in Central London - this replaces the old LEZ and Congestion charge. I put in my Dad's numberplate and checked-his car was bought in 2003(this is supposed to be for cars before 2005) but it said that his car was fine so we won't in theory have to worry come 2021.
