Pele is one of a very small group who truly deserve Legendary status.

A true legend. I remember as a child watching the 1970 world cup in Mexico,the only man to win three world cup winners medals.

The saddest news in football we have lost arguably the greatest player of all time. He held the record for most career goals scored untouched for over 50 years until Cristiano Ronaldo overtook him. He also set standards both on and off the football field and earned the respect of those he played against. Football has also lost it's greatest ambassador. That picture of him with Bobby Moore is perhaps the most iconic of him and how he played football.
RIP Pele. We will miss you and we will salute you and we will not see his like again.

Greatest ever player of the game, played in an era when tackling was brutal and relatively un checked by referees.

Had the pleasure of meeting him once. It was outside Goodison Park in 1966. What a great man, and a great footballer. The very best. RIP Pele. A great loss. Will be sadly missed.
