^Zero> The 13th seed Amanda Anismova plays the 30th seed Linda Noskova in the round of 16. So one of them will still be playing next week. And Anismova is American so it's a decent chance that an American will be playing next week.

I think the conditions may be playing a part. It's unusual for the temperatures to be so high in the first week and I think it's affecting the bounce of the ball off a really dry surface.

I think Emma could at least reach the Quarter Finals if she can continue to concentrate on her game as she is. Reaching Semis would be a bonus

Quicker or slower? If they get hot temperatures again next week then I wondering if watering would have to be introduced

Reaching the second fucking week would be a start...

Unlucky for Emma but when your facing the world number 1 its always a tough ask and she gave a good game, hopefully she can carry this into the hardcourt season

I just worry that the US Open was a bit of a freak and her Wimbledon record will be like Tim Henman. Time will tell though I suppose.

Krejcikova looked wobbly from Round 1. Maybe a new name destined for the trophy with so many former winners & top seeds gone.
