It wont be like this in the Ryder Cup, but the measure of Tommy's popularity is clear to see. Having met the man it is clear to see why he is unofficially the nicest man in golf. One of my proudest golfing moments was hitting a tee shot with Tommy watching on & saying "good shot" as we walked to the green. I wonder if my autograph is worth more after this win, not that I'll be parting with it any time soon.

Congratulations Tommy Fleetwood on a fantastic win, staying calm & focussed under extreme pressure.

Amongst the understandable delight for Fleetwood, I note that 9 of the top 11 were Americans (the other one being Canadian).

A great start for great Britain & Ireland in the 50th Walker Cup as the take a 3 - 1 advantage in the morning foursomes. A familiar name to many is Luke Poulter, son of Ryder Cup star Ian. Luke & his partner Charlie Foster beat Stewart Hagestad & Ben James 3 & 2.

I'm delighted for Fleetwood winning and breaking his PGA Tour duck, I think he has to be a nailed on pick for the Ryder Cup, but what a way to win a your first PGA Tour event!!!

When you look at his major record (he has to yet to win one), but that win has to give him hope and confidence for the Majors next season, but if he can carry this success into the Ryder Cup, then Europe probably will take some stopping.

Fleetwood didn't require a Ryder Cup pick he was an automatic qualifier
