I really liked the Tomb Raider reboot (called Tomb Raider Definitive Edition) on the PS4 that came out back in 2014 with the sequal Rise of the Tomb Raider (the PS4 version was released as the 20th anniversary of Lara Croft) released in 2016.
For those unfamiliar the first of the two games it featured a young,naive Lara Croft first starting out as a Tomb Raider through a sequence of events becomes a battle-hardened ass-kicker & a master crafter of weapons.
In my opinion both games feature some of the best use of the bow & arrow in any game (only rivaled by the Zelda games) & tbh I found both games a better action/ survival game than the Uncharted games.

If Crystal Dynamics (the game makers) can recreate the game-play from the previous two games with added improvements/enhancements then it'll be a cracker & one of my picks for GOTY.

The previous two were pretty good. The last one was probably the better of the two. The difference between Uncharted and Tomb Raider for me is uncharted is usually set in multiple countries and the stories can be long winded whilst Tomb Raider is a far more simple survival/action game. Both are great series but aren't really that comparable except from the fact they both have 1 protagonist.

The previous 2 rebooted Tomb Raider games & Uncharted not comparable? I guess we beg to differ then (I've played through & completed all 6 Uncharted games & the 2 Tomb Raider ones).A few of the staff for Crystal Dynamics (who made the last 2 Tomb Raider games) admitted they wanted to build on the concept & success of an Uncharted style game but add a more RPG approach hence the crafting of weapons,clothing etc through hunting animals etc.

The only mere differences between the Uncharted & Tomb Raider are the crafting elements,the Uncharted games feature driving scenes & whereas Lara Croft operates more as a lone-wolf Nathan Drake operates with partners like Sully,Chloe Frazer etc & is more narrative driven (the banter that plays out between them in the game).
But heck their both treasure-hunters who usually end up fighting against rival treasure-hunters with a huge dollop of deception thrown in along the way not to mention scaling platforms & traversing buildings but like I said I guess we beg to differ between both franchises.
