Ezra Moseley RIP
The former West Indies pace bowler from Barbados has died at the age of 63, after a road traffic accident.
He played County Cricket for Glamorgan, had a short career due to a back condition.
Will be best remembered for breaking Graham Gooch's hand in the Trinidad Test that England looked well placed to win, Gooch retired-hurt, the match was drawn & he missed the remainder of the series, which West Indies went on to win, aided by Moseley who played in the Barbadps Test which levelled the series. These matches were his only Tests, he made nine ODI appearances.
279 wickets in 1st Class Cricket at 23.31 & 102 in List A cricket.
He could bowl genuinely quick, as Gooch will testify & would surely have had more International caps without his back injury & involvement in the West Indies South Africa rebel Tour.
He worked as a selector & coach after he retired from playing, including working with the current West Indies captain Jason Holder & the Women's team that won the World T20 Cup in 2016.
