This thread is actually about tory plans for Ofcom, not tory views in general
And if you read the article, it is not David Cameron's twitter account, it is the prime minister's account, a generic account which applies to the role he happens to be currently occupying, and the system set in place that led to this situation was instituted under Gordon Brown and the Labour Party's leadership.
An amusing little sideshow worthy of a chuckle, but nothing to get excited about, and irrelevant here.

Remarkable isn't it, how the party of the individual and Adam Smith's "invisible hand" became in just a few short years the party of big society and David Cameron's ubiquitous mug.
As for Tory plans for Ofcom? It's clear those were put on hold the second DC got his foot in the door of No. 10.
Now that we've seen the extent to which he wants, in the words of one commentator, to "colonise our internal world", Cameron in full "control the message" mode a la his political idol (no, not Maggie) was hardly about to relinquish this most useful lever of the State, now, was he?
