Now I have probably not followed BS24 for more years than many. But I can read and I do see that inconsistency is not a new phenom. I read early posts in this forum from Mauro whom I know not know by personal meeting but but a simple fact that was a colleague of his on his forum some years ago and did moderate it.

And I did see with my own eyes many years ago that models such as Tiffany Angel were told to get fully naked (the shock on their face at that direction said it all) before the 'appointed' hour. It was as if that certain persons from ETV, after their own break-away service had failed, had managed to get a gig at BS24 , without knowing their 'rules'.

Sure. No one knows what goes on behind the scenes. It is just that some think they could do better. Maybe they are right but, often, such opinion comes over to get a better free-view rather than an effort to maximise revenue.

Even so one should be thankful that Edita is on screen. She has, it seems, cancelled several shows in the recent past which itself disproves the claimed repetitition.

Same. Hope they fix it because we are now used to at least some decent quality even when the shows arent the best. 720p>480p looks like hot garbage now, will depend on what res screen your watching it on. For me a 34" 1440p so it looks terrible

Well, we don't even know if it's a bug or they do it on purpose for whatever reason.

Edita looks delicious, though. I am very much looking forwar to her show tonight. Usually, she is quite good.

Well since we are now discussing resulution, yes, it appears to default to 480p (even I can not record audio on that). Yet even that is higher than what BSUK offers (1500p).

And ultimate percieved quality does depend on the viewing platform.

I consistently stated that the declared bitrate @5000+kbps for 1280p was higher than what was required. Maybe the server can be reconfigured to provide audio at a lower resolution. Sure. That will not please many. But it may mean that I will upload more.

one of the ONLY things left even when the schedule is awful was knowing the quality was at least 720p and had some definition to it. At present is back to the awful quality we used to have.

I'm sure there's probably an issue as the clips earlier before the show were perfectly fine. I did notice they had issue with the livestream yesterday going up and down so perhaps there a somewhat explanation there.

Long as it aint permanent which i doubt because their usual m3u link is also not working. Decent quality/resolution is required regardless of the viewing platform so i disagree with you there, all that means is the larger the screen the worse it looks. (PPI) Pixel Per Inch density makes a huge difference the larger you go. Definitely wouldn't want it on a 4K UHD TV looking like that. Not without some RTX Upscaling

Talking about Edita for a moment, there was time she could persuade the camera/producer to blur the image and do somat not expected.

On a few occassions this evening she appears to suggest that yet noone are 'playing ball'

Edita always was a free spirit and it always looked like that she was telling the people behind the camera what to do instead of the other way around.

And that's why I like her

Why I was going to watch a bit of her tonight. Such a shame it looks like crap

They always find a way to screw up a potentially good show, I really hope they aren't reducing the quality back to what it was again after moving to a new studio, with one camera, once location etc hence cutting as many costs as possible. If they drop back to garbage resolution then it truly is no longer worth a watch

Well if you were true to your word from your earlier post you would not even be trying to watch tonight. Hence my BS callout to you (conveniently ignored).

And this is no new studio whatever you want to believe. Or provide evidence to the contrary.

And as for tonight's resolution it looks fine to me at 480p even zoomed up to 960p. And even perfectly adequate on the tv at an upscaled 1080p from the low broadcast SD resolution
