So a petition to stop a state visit is to be lauded and applauded and has to be taken seriously by the government, but one that wants to state visit is silly and pathetic?

Interesting, wonder if it's because the petition is already over 50k in one night? Wonder if this petition will be reported here there and every where like the against petition agaisnt was.

What i find ironic, this 90/ 120 day suspention is the biggest gift refugees and the people wishing to spread the the influence of Islam could possibly have had.

I never said the petition was silly and pathetic in itself now did I?
Ironic from one who so often berates others for not reading what he has written

What I said, and what you quoted, was that they should have proofread the petition properly 'for spelling and grammar first (not to mention simple logic)'. They undermine their own cause by having silly mistakes in there that could easily have been avoided :

spelling : 'appose' - should be oppose

grammar : it states that Trump is the leader 'of a free world' - the expression is leader of the free world, if he was the leader of a free world there wouldn't be any need for immigration bans would there?

logic : the petition calls for Trump to be invited on a state visit - he already has, hence the other petitions popularity and the general furore in the press and from other politicians etc

not to mention the final point it makes about people not being gagged - not inviting Trump on a state visit is not 'gagging' him in any way


Like I say, in my opinion at least, they undermine their cause by having such silly mistakes in there, and the whole thing loses some credibility because of that, whether I actually agree with the petition or not is irrelevant to that.

Slight silver lining to this Migrant ban for the UK it seems tech companys like facebook and google are putting it in place that staff who have problems with immigration stuff might move to london offices of the business's

Surrounding himself with yes men...hmm...not exactly a healthy approach to democracy is it, it's more of an agree or you're out deal.

Is there a dictators handbook or guide to being an authoritarian that he's following, because this is getting more worrying each day, and it's only going to get worse
