There is ignorance to some extent in every country, but Americans really worry me sometimes. Some (not all) I've met had no sense of anything outside of their country, some cases their state, a few had no clue about other countries and their history other than what they'd seen on tv shows and in films

A side note, I still rage when they call what is a cottage pie a shepherd's pie, 'cos you know, shepherd's and their cows...fucks sake!
