Justin Louis, David Blue, Brian J. Smith and Jamil Walker Smith have joined the cast of Stargate Universe, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series revolves around a group of soldiers, scientists and civilians who are trapped on an ancient ship in space after their hidden base comes under attack.
Louis will play Col. Everett Young, an experienced Stargate team leader, while Blue will star as genius Eli Wallace.
Smith will take on the role of Lt. Matthew Scott, a junior member of the team who is forced to become a reluctant leader, while Walker Smith will play temperamental marine Sr. Sgt. Ronald Greer.
Robert Carlyle has already come on board to star as the group's leader, Dr. David Rush.
This will be the third TV spinoff from the 1994 movie starring Kurt Russell.
It is scheduled to debut as a two-hour movie on the Sci-Fi channel later in the year.
