Pakistan v England 2012

Would be hard to play Cook ahead of players in the original squad,but Pakistan wouldn't want to see him & KP open.If Bresnan comes in it would be at the expense of Finn.I'd be keeping Finn on ice as he should be leading our Test attack for the next 10 years.

I agree with you over Finn and since Dernbach is the specialist one day bowler, both are young enough to be decent in the field and really we shouldn't be worrying about depth in batting for T20s so that wouldn't come into it. My T20 at this minute would be if everyone was fit:
Cook
Pietersen
Bopara
Morgan
Kieswetter
Buttler/Bairstow
Bresnan
Patel
Broad
Swann
Dernbach

I still feel that Prior could do a job in the ODIs and T20s

Like that side it's good to be flexible with the batting order in T20 & I think England dont respond well in that respect,Patel is a good player of spin & could bat higher.They really much decide on the 2 openers & go with them for the next 2 years or so.Hales has done little wrong but I'm leaning towards Cook.

I agree re Patel and had he batted for an over or 2 England would have strolled home

Not sure it's such a good idea to have Bairstow & Butler,both inexperienced at this level at the crease together.

Batting first was the key to Englands 38 run win in the 2nd T20.Bairstow will be a class act for many years.Another good bowling display & fielding was back to what we've come to expect after a patchy display in the 1st match.

A very good bowling performance by England today, restricting Pakistan to 112. Pakistan bowled well themselves, but their batting is fragile and this fragility was exposed by England today. So 1-1 now in the T20 series with the final match to come on Monday.

We managed to beat Pakistan.... and that was with just 3 wicket keepers in the team. Image what we could do if the whole team were keepers..........

Butler & Bairstow's outfielding has to be some of the best you'll see from keepers.
