7.x To the Lot Valley in South-West France, which was a field day for the cinematographers. They both caught a vandoise, Paul got a bream and Bob managed a carp. They moved spots a lot, and even got through 2 different accommodations, and made good fun of rudimentary French. They both acknowledged that age is catching them up. Another successful catch.
Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing
8.1 To the river Itchen to seek wild brown trout. Their first spot in a water meadow yields a grayling, as Paul marks another birthday, whilst their second spot is less interesting but Bob manages to get the trout in the teeth of a rainstorm. Paul also talks to actor Jim Murray about his hopes to help salmon stocks in chalk streams.

A quite marvellous epic of love and war.
Classic Movies: Passport to Pimlico
One other issue I have with this series, besides the excuse to repeat themselves so much (another bloody Ealing comedy?!), is their capacity to repeat the information they impart and discussions they have. So one presenter will introduce a topic, then talk to someone else about it as though it's news, whilst another presenter will separately talk about it as if nobody else has brought it up.

The Bottom Line
Steve Clemons talks to veteran Middle East correspondent Chris Hedges about the prospects for Trump's visions of peace, then later to Professor Evan Medeiros about Trump's Asian tour and whether it'll do anything to achieve his aims vis-a-vis China.
