I just watched Threads on DVD. Made in 1984 when the threat of nuclear war involving Britain was very real, it shows its age now. But having said that, the passage of time has not lessened it's shock value. It's a brutally grim documentary-drama showing how a nuclear war can devastate a country for decades after the attack.

Seriously, you need to have a strong stomach to bear this. Powerful, and deeply frightening. 4/5

last night i watched goodfellas on dvd,WHAT A MOVIE,seen it lots of times but not for a while and i kinda forgot how good a movie it was,absolutely brilliant

Has a great cast, so my expectations were high for it, but its awful. Poorly acted, irritating characters, boring cliched storyline.

Funny concept, and it does have some fun moments (Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari) but the story was kinda shit, and there just seemed to be something missing...wasn't enough laugh out loud moments for me.

Small Soldiers - When it was on ITV at the weekend. A fun film looking back on it that I've now seen a few times.

Just watched Dead Man's Shoes for the first time. A truly excellent, poignant film that I won't forget. Great cinematography, music, acting and script. If you haven't seen it before, I highly recommend you watch it.
