I thought England were excellent today and Chris Tremlett bowl very well as the Aussies didn't have a clue how to play him also England fielded brilliantly. Some of the Aussie batting was shambolic such as no footwork poor shot selection and this is a real concern if your an Aussie as your going through a period of poor form.

England were very good yesterday and hopefully today (Im on Aussie time of course in England) we can get some what of a big lead or at least have the solid foundation of one and then look to declare sometime on day 3 (that would be my plan anyway).

The selection of Tremlett was right, no question about it but the Aussies. If I was them I would of out of that 12 man squad played Beer instead of Hilfenhaus and you still would of had the three paceman with Watson as a fourth and then a debutant spinner with some backup from Smith. I wouldn't of played Hilfenhaus since when the track gets flat I haven't seen him do anything that special to get a wicket and would say the other three could possibly do something at a required point of time like that. Also why wasn't Haddin in at 6 and Smith at 7? not the way round they had it, was prefect logical to have Haddin come in at 6 given his recent form and the international inexperience of Steven Smith.

But now he's back and bowled superbly today taking 6-38 as England were skittled out for 187. Australia close on 119-3 in their second innings, a lead of 200 with 3 days still remaining.

What a batting collapse from England today 78/0 to 187 all out however Mitchell Johnson bowling was superb today plenty of bounce and late swing.
