Forum upgrade

I don't know exactly what it was before the upgrade but I was nearly on it, it now says 230 characters, I wanted to replace a current one with a new one which also has one less character but it says I'm still over the limit. I'll just have to have a fiddle about and see if I can get it down to 230.

The new forum defaults to 230 characters in the signature, but as skateguy thinks it was 240 before I have reverted to that figure, so if you try now you should find that up to 240 is allowed. Let me know if not.

Maybe I will publish a final list of posts with the most 'old' thanks. Then he will get some credit at least.

Is that a "view post" button I see in quotes?

I'm sure you're right and that it was 230, as my 'guess' was only approximate. But thanks - the extra ten characters will mean oopnorth can add in his other link!

One feature that's not present in the new version of the forum is the 'export messages' function for PMs. Do you know if this is no longer possible, or is it something that can be added back in?

EDIT: Ignore that - I've found it - its been repositioned and renamed as 'Download Messages'

Still can't add pics into PM's though - just links but not an actual embedded pic

I dont know if its only me but when I add a "Thanks" to a post I get an ! mark at the end of my name. Can anyone else see this? or is because Im the one giving the Thanks

Should I be worried or am I going mad !!!!!!

I get it as well - I think it jst denotes you....incase you forget your own username
