The reason Odemweinge is used more as a sub now is because Roy Hodgson wants to improve the baggies defensive record.

There is no point scoring 2 goals a game if you keep on conceding 3 or 4 in return.

They show the Tigers owed creditors more than £43m under previous owner Russell Bartlett, following their stint in the top flight.

Alarmingly, City had just £155,000 cash in hand at the bank last July, with a monthly wage bill of more than £3.1m to meet.

The accounts, which cover the 12 months to the end of July 2010, relate to City's second season of Premier League football.

The Tigers were eventually relegated and left facing major financial difficulties.

The accounts stress that new owners Assem and Ehab Allam, who bought the club last December, now predict future 'trading profitability and stability'.

It adds that they provided immediate funds of £26m to meet bills following their takeover on December 17.

However, as previously reported, they made a total commitment of around £40m, including personal guarantees to cover other costs.

The Mail understands this included covering a financial projection of a £9m income through potential player sales. A further £5m was needed to cover 'deferred income', which the Mail understands related to borrowing against future season ticket sales.

The Allams have previously said it will take at least 18 months for the club's finances to recover.
