Haha. You're a wind up merchant Big Grin Coming in here to try and cause a little mischief.

Feel free to hate or take the piss out of my team but can you do that in the football banter thread and keep this thread for a proper discussion please.

The first bit was a joke Wink but the second part about moyes handling the pressure at united was serious, i think he could have handled the rooney situation a bit different, it sound like he has not tell rooney his plans ...

I think its hard to say. There is so much rumour and counter rumour none of us know for sure what is going on with Rooney. Except for Chelsea none of the major teams are interested in him. Even then I'm not convinced that Mourinho is not just playing mind games when he says he is not interested in anyone else but Rooney lol

If i think chelsea will buy rooney then i say that the league is win by chelsea this season already. I not understand why they not just play both in 442 or something with rvp and use hernandez and welbeck for substitute? If moyes sell him to another top team in english league is bad decision.

It may not be Moyes decision. This has been rumbling on since the back end of Fergie's reign, the decision may have been made then by the clubs heirarchy, time for Rooney to move on to make way for someone they consider a better long term option. That may have been the real reason behind getting RVP in place, to provide the goals in Rooneys place, so allowing them to ease Rooney aside, make it so uncomfortable for him that he chooses to leave.
The decision may have been made before Moyes even had his interview, and he could now just be toeing the party line. Perhaps once they knew Fergie was going, they knew Moyes and Rooney would always be a delicate relationship at best, so had it in mind to elbow Rooney out so Moyes wouldn't have that to contend with.

All just speculation of course, but I don't think it's fair to heap this on Moyes shoulders, I think it's more the club's doing and Moyes is just doing as told.

United have now upped the bid to £35 million for Fabregas but are unlikely to pursue much further, if as expected the deal is rejected by Barcelona.
It is rumoured that instead they will turn their attention to Modric.

United have apparently conceded that Fabregas is staying with Barcelona. This needs putting to bed one way or the other now. I will be happy, if as expected we move for Fellaini. He is a tough, combative midfielder who can also play as an attacker. The type of player United have been missing for several years...just needs to learn to keep his elbows tucked in!
Modric would be good too, if he can be prised away from Ancelotti. He would offer us the style of play that would otherwise be missing following the retirement of Scholes.
Baines would be a great purchase if we could get him. He offers a great goal threat on top of being a class back.

Hopefully highly gifted Kagawa will be given the opportunity to play in a central attacking midfield position this season. When not injured last season he was played out of position on the left to allow for Rooney as they both fill similar space. A fit Kagawa, playing centre is a talented playmaker, who could be a revelation if he plays like he did under Klopp.

According to Damien Comolli, United need a director of football to stop the shambles in the transfer market from happening again. Now why would we want a further level of bureaucracy to contend with. Thanks but no thanks. It's noticeable since that guy left Spurs and Liverpool, that both teams have gone some way to improving their squads. Hopefully the new regime at United has learnt lessons so that the same mistakes won't be made again.

Apparently United were offered Ozil a month ago but did not want him. However it is believed they are going to be active in the January transfer market by which time Moyes will be settled in fully and better prepared to consider the right players.
Ander Herrera has indicated he would be happy to come but my gut reaction is they will try for Fabregas once again if he isn't getting regular 1st team football.

Nani has signed a 5 year contract today.
