That 'casual' viewer my not even get as far as 906.

He clicks on 900,901 etc. Finds them to be scrambled and just gives up.

But if you now have a S.O.T.A. HD box you get a nice preview of any channel. No excuses now.

So do I. But I'm wise enough to know that I'm in a minority.

As the channels have said themselves, the bulk of viewers/callers to the babe channels are casual viewers/callers.

It's a big mistake for anyone to assume that casual viewers/callers would behave in the same way as us.

OK, just for clarity I'm not suggesting anybody is wrong.
In fact, I'll give you guys the credit for obviously looking into this as deeply as some quite clearly have.
I did however expect a few links to appear so we can all see the root of evidence.
I can only view this idea through my own perspective, and that leaves me thinking that I do find it unbelievable that someone would buy the first product they initially lay their eyes on.
When I purchase a product regardless of price, I always make sure I'm getting the best value for money and a sound item.
I don't see how this is any different, these channels are not cheap, surely to god people take a browse first and make sure they're getting the best for their money?
OK so clearly this isn't the case as many of you have now pointed out, my point being I do find that quite astonishing, especially in this day and age.

What has any of the past few posts got to do with the title of this thread?

If you read the exchange as a whole you'll find your answer.

Aaah.... now you're asking for a lesson in psychology.

Trying to be brief, everyone is either a 'satisfier' or a 'maximiser'.

The psychological condition you're describing is that of a maximiser, the person who wants to find the best possible option of all possible choices. A satisfier on the other hand know what his needs are and chooses the first choice that fulfils those needs.

On the surface, it may seem that the maximizer has a better strategy. By carefully analysing the situation and weighing the available options, he tries to make the absolute best choice. So the maximizer always makes the superior decision, right?

Maybe not. As it turns out, according to psychologists the satisfier is the one who tends to do much better in the long run. So why is that? Because the maximizer spends (wastes) a lot of time and thought finding all possible alternatives and working out which option to go with.

The satisfier, while not always making the absolute “best” choice, makes quicker decisions and tends to be happier with his choice afterward.

Look at it this way.

Maximizers focus on the unhappiness they will experience if they go ahead with an option and may make the wrong choice.

Satisfiers focus on the happiness they will experience if they go ahead with an option without fussing about it too much.

Yes i think the grouping of the channels is a factor and beneficial, that's exactly what STD 66 have recently done, but at the other end of the adult section (higher numerically) to Cellcast .

STD 66 still broadcast on 912 which is numerically lower down the adult section were it is supposed to be more expensive to purchase a slot but were channels get more traffic "allegedly", and they have recently grouped 3 channels right next to each other at the higher end numerically in the adult section .
They have stopped broadcasting on 927 which last broadcast golden girls, and moved that channel to 940, so now they broadcast on 940, 941, 942 all grouped together at the higher end numerically in the adult section were slots are supposed to be cheaper, so they have cut costs by leaving slot 927, and grouped their programs beneficially together were slots are said to be cheaper .

But I asked for a cheeseburger?

Anyway, what in the name of Nathalie Sawyer's knockers is going on at the dreadful Studio 66? First Lilly, then Caty and Mica seems to have vanished without trace!

Instead of using this wonderful thread which I started as a wake up call, they've gone the other way.
