After six years of construction,eccentric multimillionaire and Star Trek fan Liu Dejian's custom office building was finally completed in 2017.At a cost of nearly $100 million it was designed to look like the starship Enterprise,at a size of three football pitches with thirty feet metal slides connecting each floor,automatic sliding gates between each designated work area and life size replica of a Tyrannosaurs Rex skeleton it was the world's first officially licensed Star Trek building.

An early concept for the hovercraft was evolved by British engineer Sir John Thornycroft in the 1870s.
