Hopefully next season they can start getting VAR right. I am in favour of it but they need to streamline the decision making, maybe time limit reviews to 20/30 seconds.
They definitely need to amend the rules too, make the attacking handball rule meet the same criteria as defensive handballs (premier league interpretation not European interpretation), offside needs to be tweaked also, just put up a defensive line, no attacking line, look for 10 to 15 seconds, if they can't see a clear offside from that then call it onside, there will still be marginal tight calls but they will at least then be visible in relation to the defensive line without the ridiculous dots and 3 minute delays to see a 2mm offside, no more shoulder, kneecap or armpit offside bullshit.
That will definitely help with making VAR more palatable I believe.

RE: Football Banter
I would think with that loss to Liverpool yesterday, it is likely Ole will be gone from United before the end of season, can't see him lasting till then. I think there has to be wholesale clear out of that team and use what kids they have go to rebuild from thr ground up, probably would have to look at probably even Zidane taking over next season. Ole took over in probably very difficult circumstances and did get some decent results but I think it was a case that the job is probably a chalice that will be cleaned of poison many times before they eventually get the right man for the job for a period like Fergie's. I would also wonder how much longer the Glazers would want to hang on to the club before they pull out. Certainly do think a new investor would be good for the club.

I think the interpretation of VAR and the handball rule has to be looked at by FIFA as well. I think it could be a at least another season or two before VAR finally works to it's true potential.

Agree. If they sort out the time delays, handball and offside situations and implement something similar to what I stated previously then they could have a much improved VAR for next season
