So, suicide in public is acceptable and we should all sympathise with the people that do it? Really?

Missing the point DT. The argument over the rights and wrongs of suicide and the methods used are not the argument. The point is whether a vapid, insular bint with no sense of morality or empathy should be allowed to spout off without challenge.
I possibly tend to agree that public suicides are disruptive but
a) kind of hard to hold someone who is prepared to kill themselves to reasonably consider the feelings of people whom they possibly feels have rejected them and
b) use the impact of "time and money" as the basis of your protest is morally repugnant.
I have enormous sympathy for those (transport police and drivers) who are impacted by this but I can't feel sorry for someone losing a few quid and being a bit late.
Regards

I'm not sticking up for clare, I disagree with her petty moaning about time and money. Reading through these posts gave me the impression that people here thought that this kind of thing is acceptable and we should all be sympathetic. The word "disruptive" being used to describe public suicides is an understatement. There's train drivers who have never gotten over these suicides, and all the firemen who have to go picking body parts up off the floors and train tracks, which you did eventually point out.

RE: Clare Richards - Ultimate Babe 2012 - Nightshow Chat & Discussion
I'm pleased to see that Clare has had the wisdom to open a locked personal twitter account for CLOSE friends and family. This makes a great deal of sense as it should allow Clare to have some form of divide between her personal and professional lives. The next step would be for Clare to exercise some sound judgement in her use of social media...I think she is mistaken if she believes that she can express her opinions, no matter how loathsome, without there being any consequences. A wise piece of advice for using social media is don't type it out if you wouldn't say it to a group of people in a social situation. Show some common courtesy and compassion for other people as it is the right thing to do in virtually all situations, why is it any different on Twitter?
It would be nice to think that Clare has learned from this experience, and I really hope that she has, rather than simply thinking that she is right all of the time - nobody is! Clare appears to have a nice life and lifestyle but there are plenty of people who are suffering from severe emotional distress due to post-credit crunch austerity in both the UK, Europe and North America. It really isn't helpful when people who are living comfortably have such a poor attitude towards our fellow human beings who are having difficult coping with changed life circumstances.

The next time Clare, or anyone else, moans about paying taxes for 'lazy people' on benefits then remind them of the strong association between lack of social protection from benefits and the increased risk of suicide.
Anyway, enough of my lecturing! The next time I see Clare shaking her very pretty arse bent over a desk I'd almost certainly like to give her it a good spanking although my motivations may have changed! Clare is certainly very beautiful to look at, superb at talking dirty on the phones and I'm sure has plenty of redeeming qualities (running to race funds for cancer research) but I wouldn't say she's a particularly good person...but I hope that she can be in the future!
