Yes, S66 should have started with babysteps and at least had Siri do a webcam session first to iron out the problems. As with most businesses, the hype machine/advertising kinda of oversold us a bit. I'm not sure S66 understands how effective social media/twitter is in this current day and age.

As anyone that actually looks at their twitter can tell, S66's twitter is sorta automated. Those tweets are pretty much all pre-written in advance. Pretty much, S66 is primarily using twitter as a advertising tool. Nothing more to them. For the rest of us, twitter is also a up-to-the-minute live update tool.

Yea, S66 fudge up there. I'm not sure how any person that webcams can possibly meet up to the expectations of a tv viewer. Why?
1. Most people webcam alone, so you can't expect a cameraman to move the webcam around without the model doing it.
2. Most people that webcam, use a freaking webcam. Unless the model is using the best ones out there, the quality is not going to hold a candle to a camera made to broadcast video for television.

If so many first-attempt webcam shows are glitch-strewn, why didn't Studio 66 settle for trying a first "Siri, live from LA" show just on webcam rather than going straight to digital-tv with it and crossing their fingers none of those glitches happen ?
I'm not sure S66 has grasped the concept of why pornstar webcams are popular. The restrictions put on them as tv broadcasters shackles what people going into webcam session expect. Which is more then what you normally see on broadcast tv.
S66 probably assumed that because Siri already webcams on her own site via another company i mentioned a couple of pages back, that they wouldn't have any noticeable hiccups. However, whenever someone decides to assume, they tend to make an "ass" out "you" and "me". Given the track record for first time cams with S66, I was surprised when they announced their live from LA show with such short notice.

Several sports channels show live action from the USA every night (horse racing, basketball, ice hockey or baseball depending on the time of year) with no reason for any of their viewers to feel there's anything remarkably ground-breaking about being able to watch something from several thousand miles away so, again, it's no credible excuse for anyone to bleat that Studio 66 deserve leeway for it being their first time trying to show something live from LA.
S66 does not really have an iron grip on how a model webcams, nor do they attempt to set a standard to be followed. If they did, the quality of the webcams would be better, but fewer models would probably attempt to do it.
Based on the problems seen, S66 is probably run by a much smaller crew then you would think. Which is probably why these issues crop up in the first place. While there is money to be made as a tv broadcaster, I doubt it compares to the chunk of change that sports tv broadcasting brings in.
While not groundbreaking for the world as you would put it, it is groundbreaking for S66. Which is two completely different standards.
Could they have done it/planned it out better? Yeah. Are they the type to lay out plans? Nope, they like many smaller businesses, fly by the seat of their pants. They risk more for reward. When they fudge up though, they also do it on a more epic scale.
