We live in increasingly Politically Correct times, in which 'offence' is considered a heinous crime, and where free expression and Human Rights are little more than 'dirty words'.

Ofcon was set up by the Westminster Government to do its bidding, but at 'arms length', so that it could claim that it is an independent 'regulator', and therefore avoid blame for any controversial decisions - Government is going to be even less interested in complaints about censorship than Ofcon, as there is not likely to be any/many votes in it. Instead, they are ever more likely to pander to the moral minority/religious groups/misdandrists etc., as well as media 'outrage' (generated to sell more papers, or gain more viewers), twitter 'campaigns'..., most, if not all of which, are likely to be calling for even greater censorship, bans etc. of things that the people concerned don't like, and think they should have the right to impose their views on society at large.

Cynical? Moi?
