Mark Williams made a great century break in the 4th frame, in which most of the shots looked to be from out of position; the kind of break they would once have repeated to fill time to show the skill needed to do such a thing. It's funny, really, now they make such a deal about live coverage, as soon as it stops, they just sod off and show any old repeat.

Frame seven was like a couple of bang average club players making a dogs breakfast of shot after shot .
That session counts as a missed opportunity for Williams.
Trump was not on his game and still won the session. Very very bad news for the Welshman imo.

Zhou Xintong is dismantling Ronnie O'Sullivan with brutal efficiency. Frames being won at rapid speed.

Session whitewash.
Zhou leads 12-4.

Ronnie needs to win 6-2 at least tonight. At least 4 just to reach the last session!

Mark Williams is battling like a snooker trooper. He went 7-3 down to what looked to be a rampant Judd Trump but recovered with all his guile and experience to find a way back.
He won five out the next six to leave it all square going into tomorrow.
I really feared for him after session one but the Welshman is digging in and refusing to buckle.
Fair play to him.

Zhou Xintong has duly dispatched Ronnie O'Sullivan 17-7 with a session to spare giving him a full day off before the final.

Ronnie just couldn't make it happen. All credit to Zhao, he'll still have quite the experience, whoever his opponent is.
