Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it?

So Putin's stating the Russia have developed a vaccine for the virus.
He says that his daughter is one of the people who have received the vaccine.

But it hasn't been clinically tested yet.

He will also claim it will kill 99..99% of the virus

so £3,200 fine for nor wearing a mask?????

From what I've seen in my workplace this week there, would have been plenty of opportunity for a few grands' worth.

Didn't they say right at the bloody start of this thing that it 'could be around for years'?????

So the R number is now at 0.9 to 1.1, so on the very brink of where infection starts to potentially spiral.
And schools are soon to return.
And in Germany apparently 40 odd schools in Berlin alone have reported positives among pupils and teachers.

Nothing to worry about here, all under control


A work buddy came back from Spain a couple weeks ago and went into 14 day isolation, no checks at the airport, no forms to fill out, nothing.
Had a call from the hospital about an appointment for his girlfriend. They went through questions, asked if they had been anywhere, he explained they had just returned from spain and were isolating. "Yeah that's not a problem, see you wednesday".
You couldn't make this stuff up!

Why they are NOT carrying out checks at airports is not only downright scandalous but also bloody downright dangerous when you can consider at certain times if it was normal, the sheer numbers of people flying in & out of here, anybody could be carrying the thing and if they are evading check or are refusing to say where they have been or come from they should be refused further entry, arrested and made to tell the cops where they are from and sent straight back home and refused visas to UK for the next two years no matter their status. Couldn't care less if they were King of Spain. if you refuse to say where you are from or pass a test and have a passport, you don't get in.

Hope Keir Starmer gives Boris a kicking over this in the press and press need to apply more pressure to get this locked down and watertight.
It's a bloody scandal that a first world country like us can be so bloody lax. This should have been tightened when lockdown started.

It has been reported that a Hong Kong man has tested positive for coronavirus for a second time , four months after recovering from the disease.. if true this the first case of reinfection.

It's still in the preliminary study by the Ministry of Defence.

I read a report on this, and it sounds like absolutely nothing.
Apparently this stuff has been shown to kill other coronaviruses, so may kill covid as well.
Errmm yeah ok, but bleach does that as well, and a whole bunch of other anti-viral sprays that are already commonly available.
Sounds like a nothing story picked up by the media and blown out of proportion because the MoD was involved.
